Andi and I drove to Houston this past weekend both for Mother’s Day and to hopefully start planning more of the wedding festivities. Things are moving along… slowly.
With the ceremony taking place at Hotel ZaZa, we were able to block off a small allotment of rooms at a discounted rate of $179.00/night. Rooms fill up quick, and we do realize this is a bit pricey, so we are looking at some other less-expensive options in the area. As much as I’ve been avoiding it, I will be throwing together a quick little site with all of this pertinent info. That will be coming soon once we have a few more details hammered down. We are also working on a band, and will then move on to hiring a photographer. Then it’s food, cake, flowers, wedding favors, tuxes, bridesmaids dresses, rehearsal dinner, anything else for out of town guests, honeymoon, and a bunch of other items I’m forgetting. Think I’ll go buy a Powerball ticket this Wednesday…
I do have to finish off by saying our drive into Houston Friday night and the drive back to New Orleans last night were by far the easiest drives we’ve ever had along the I-10 corridor: 5 hours 15 minutes on Friday, 4 hours 45 minutes on Sunday. 75mph cruise control the whole way, very nice!
